Reforms or window dressing?
It can't be a coincidence that the labor ministers of the countries who are parties to CAFTA decided to release a report this week highlighting reforms they are making in protecting labor rights, just as the US Congress prepares for a very close ratification vote for the treaty.
The five nations prepared a lengthy report with the assistance of the Inter-American Development Bank. The report portrays each country as making progress in protecting the rights of workers.
