Who do Salvadorans trust?
Public opinion polling by the IUDOP at the University of Central America provides insights into the views of the population on a wide variety of issues. One question asks Salvadorans to identify the institutions in Salvadoran society and government in which they have great confidence. Churches are the most trusted institutions; political parties, unions and business are the least trusted. Percentage of respondents who indicated they placed much confidence in an institution:
