Evangelizing in El Salvador's prisons
My news searches on Google this week came across an interesting story titled American Evangelists Bring Hope to the Gang Prisons of El Salvador. It describes a Christian evangelism team who perform feats of strength and power while bringing a Gospel message to prison inmates. They've recently been touring the prisons of El Salvador:
I pull up many stories of mission trips to El Salvador when I am trolling for news. But this one was unique.
The country of El Salvador has been ravaged by over 20 years of civil war and gang violence. The president of El Salvador, Antonio Saca, is searching for peace for his country. He personally invited the Central Oregon based Freedom Team to come and share their message of hope and love. In cooperation with General Prison Director Secretary, Rafael Enriques, from October 12 to October 29, 2008, the Freedom Team visited 12 federal prisons across El Salvador, performing feats of strength and sharing personal testimonies....
The President of El Salvador is hoping for such a change for his country. During the Freedom Team's visit to the federal prisons, over 2600 men and women chose a better way. The prisoners include many members of the 18th street and MS gangs, who have a strong presence in the United States. Many of them defied the authority of their gangs, determined to live a life of freedom and peace.

what perversity there is in presenting the causes of problems as solutions...
the christian life is more then be poor or having to follow a leader.
the shepherd Jesus has given each of us a free choice. we are not slaves to him we are servants. with Salvation comes freedom from sin. and when you have this freedom you have eternal life. I would take being poor if God brought my way. in fact if i was poor it would be better then not having Jesus at all. so let me ask you this, are christian leaders like Bush poor? what kind of Christians are talking about? are you stereotyping Christians? not every christian is poor. the poor have Jesus while the rich are stuck in the world. show me proof that every christian is poor and I'll show your proof that non-Christians have unrest.
The gringo God is more Arab.
