The worst forms of campaigning



The Facebook page called "Sociedad Civil"  (Civil Society) is sharing a photo album of the worst examples of campaigning during this campaign season leading up to the March elections.  You'll need to be able to read Spanish to understand some of the comments, but some photos, like the one above, speak for themselves.

Those crazy Salvadorans! When will they learn that the proper way to campaign is with negative ads based on grainy black and white pictures set to distorted sound-bites, funded by Super PACs! In all seriousness, the Salvadoran election sometimes seems like something from another planet, what with the byzantine voting rules, and these ... idiosyncratic campaign tactics.
